Filipinx x Black Lives Matter T-Shirt

After George Floyd's murder, I knew I couldn't be idle. So I designed a shirt with the words “Nandito ako” on the back which translates to I’m here/I’m here for you in Tagalog. Those are words I’ve always tried to live by and it was relevant then and still now more than ever. This was my way of saying to my black friends: as a Filipino American, I am here, and I always will be.

I understand that a shirt will not save our country, but I am hopeful that maybe one day, when you're wearing this shirt, someone will ask you what it means and you can start that conversation.
